Hybrid Origin:  The Malti Tzu is a hybrid between the Maltese and the Shih Tzu. Erroneous Alias:  Malshi, Mal-Tzu, Malti tzu Country of Origin:  Mal-Shis originate in the United States of America. Original Purpose:  The Mal-Shi is a great family companion. Breed Characteristics:  Mal-Shis generally are playful, sociable and energetic. Mal-Shis tend to be easily trained as they are intelligent and eager to please. Mal-Shis tend to be very loving and affectionate and should be exercised daily. Life Expectancy:  Average life expectancy for the Mal-Shi is 10 - 13 years.
